shooting in campbell and the victim is just 18 years old. >> all night long police have been searching for the gunman. the victim was found near the corner of west lattimer and dumpster drive not far from the campbell shopping center. "today in the bay's" bob redell is live on the scene with more details on this investigation. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning to you, marla and jon. it should be noted this is unusual for the city of campbell. several years since someone was murdered in this town. the last homicide having taking place back in 2007 and now police are trying to figure this one out. this is a neighborhood of apartments and duplexes. they found the victim in the area around 10:20 last night after someone called 911. his name is richard vega. he died a little bit after midnight during emergency surgery. >> at this point we're looking into all possibilities. we don't have any solid evidence that the victim was specifically targeted or that it's gang related. we're certainly considering those possibilities in our investigation. and our investigators are contacting f
